Hello hello and thanks for checking out episode number six of the Learn With Lels podcast.

In this episode, I sat down with my cousin-in-law Jennifer Swanson David. Jen is a member of Chapleau Cree First Nation, who, as a communications expert and consultant, works to improve Indigenous communities. In our conversation, we talked about her important work, and we also talked about what she’s been going through personally, having recently beat breast cancer.

Some of the things you can expect to hear about in this episode include:

  • racist misconceptions that Indigenous people deal with and how we can address them;

  • the real history of our country; and

  • her battle with breast cancer and what it taught her.

I feel like we talked about some important things in this episode, and I hope you enjoy it!
